Rush Hour Reviews: Janet Jackson's Feedback

Fashiggity Note: I'm only able to listen to a whole album through is during my shitty ass work commute from Santa Monica to Burbank. I might as well dedicate my first to Penny.

Every Janet album after Velvet rope follows the same ass pattern. Hot opening single and then a month later, people forget about the album. Not to say that Janet's albums after Velvet Rope sucked, they just dont have the lasting impressions as "Janet" (my all time fave), "Control," and "Rhythm Nation."

There are two notable cuts through simply because they evoke images from a bygone era. "Can't B Good" has Janet sounding like her older brother when he still had the Jerri Curl. "Never Letchu Go" takes Janet back to the "Lets Wait Awhile" days when you were still young, when you didn't know that sex could complicate a friendship. Its a great listen if you're yearning for a cheesy love song thatll take you back to them days.

The whole album is not bad at all, its just not up to par with her classics. As with Damita Jo and 20 years old, you'll forget about it in due time. Still, if you have it, it's a nice listen.
